NEW LONDON, WI – The School District of New London will complete the final phase of a major roof replacement project at New London High School this summer.
School Board members approved awarding the contract to Northern Metal and Roofing after the company submitted the lowest bid for the work. The project includes a base bid of just over $1.2 million and an alternate bid of more than $328,000.
District officials say the project will be funded through referendum dollars along with money from the district’s general fund. The roof at New London High School dates back to 1999, and the replacement is part of a planned, multi-year facilities update included in the district’s 2018 referendum.
Crews are expected to complete the project before students return to school in the fall.
