Seymour 84, New London 56
Seymour stayed perfect on the season with an 84–56 win over New London on Tuesday night at Seymour Community High School.
The top-ranked Thunder jumped out to a commanding 44–27 halftime lead and never let up, matching New London point for point in the second half while controlling the game on both ends of the floor. Seymour’s efficient shooting proved to be the difference, as the Thunder connected on better than 56 percent from the field and knocked down 15 three-pointers.
Senior Kyler Marks led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Isaac Feske added 17 points on an ultra-efficient shooting night. Sophomore Jordan Krause also chipped in 17, including five three-pointers, as Seymour showcased its depth and balance.
New London battled throughout but couldn’t keep pace with Seymour’s offensive firepower, as the Thunder improved to 15–0 with another convincing conference victory.
Winneconne 82, Shawano 63
Winneconne used a strong all-around performance to pull away from Shawano and earn an 82–63 victory Tuesday night at Winneconne High School.
The Wolves leaned on a balanced offensive attack and steady defensive pressure to build separation as the game went on. Senior Brody Schaffer led the way with a game-high 27 points on efficient shooting, while Parker Ingles added 20 points and hit all eight of his free-throw attempts. Freshman Drew Lenz chipped in 11 to round out the scoring.
Winneconne also controlled the glass and moved the ball well, with Gage Bartel posting a double-double of 10 rebounds and eight assists. Shawano battled throughout but struggled to keep pace offensively, as the Wolves closed out the game to improve to 10–6 on the season.
Xavier 88, Green Bay West 34
Xavier dominated from start to finish in an 88–34 victory over Green Bay West on Tuesday night at Xavier High School.
The Hawks jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, outscoring the Wildcats in both halves while shooting an impressive 59 percent from the field. Senior Grant Neumann led the way with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Logan Ramczyk added 14 points and a game-high 11 assists. Junior Kolbe Donnermeyer contributed 13 points on perfect shooting from the field and beyond the arc.
Xavier’s balanced attack and efficient ball movement overwhelmed Green Bay West, who struggled to find offensive rhythm against the Hawks’ defense. With the win, Xavier improves to 10–5 on the season, while the Wildcats remain in search of their first victory.
Oconto Falls 81, Marinette 61
Oconto Falls pulled away in the second half to earn an 81–61 win over Marinette on Tuesday night at Oconto Falls High School.
The Panthers held a slim 38–34 lead at halftime before turning up the pressure after the break, outscoring the Marines 43–27 in the second half. Oconto Falls controlled the glass and pace, using a balanced scoring attack to steadily extend the margin.
Senior Jameson Beaman led the Panthers with 19 points, while Carson McDermid and Brady Bursa each added 15. McDermid posted a double-double with 10 rebounds, and Bursa filled the stat sheet with seven rebounds and six assists as Oconto Falls’ ball movement and rebounding proved to be the difference.
Marinette kept things competitive early but couldn’t match the Panthers’ depth and second-half surge as Oconto Falls secured its 11th win of the season.
