Shawano Police Department reported officers were busy with security at a house fire this morning. The Fire located on South Union Street about two blocks away from St James Lutheran Church and School. Brad Williams and Evan Christman will have more information on this developing story.
Clintonville Police reported Officers conducted multiple overnight business checks along South Main Street, North Main Street, and East 12th Street between 2 and 3 a.m., part of routine patrol efforts to deter crime and ensure property security.
Extra patrols were also logged early in the morning on Anne Street and South Madison Street. Later in the day, police handled a traffic-related incident at West Madison Street and West Street just after 9 a.m.
Mid-morning calls included a vehicle lockout on Industrial Avenue and two separate 9-1-1 calls from West 12th Street and West Morning Glory Drive. No further details were released on those incidents.
In the afternoon, officers responded to a reported domestic incident on Brix Street and an animal neglect complaint on Stewart Street. An information call was also handled on North 12th Street.
The evening included a motor vehicle crash at South Main Street and Highway 45, followed by an ambulance call on Spring Street late Monday night.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled more than 30 calls for service on Monday. Deputies began the day just after midnight with a drug-related incident near Highway 47-55 and Cherry Avenue. Early morning calls included a mental health transport to Mendota Mental Health, a 9-1-1 hang-up call in the City of Shawano, and assistance to firefighters responding to a call in Tigerton.
Throughout the morning and afternoon, deputies handled several disabled vehicles along Highways 22 and 29, responded to a vehicle lockout, and investigated multiple non-reportable traffic crashes, including a deer-vehicle collision in Bowler.
A fraud investigation was opened around midday in Shawano, while the afternoon included reports of a disturbance in Bonduel and a reckless driving complaint near Highway 45.
Evening calls included a reported weapons offense in Pulaski, multiple abandoned 9-1-1 calls, a welfare check, and traffic hazards caused by slick roads and debris.
The day wrapped up with a late-night shoplifting report involving stolen beer from a business along Highway 22.
