SHAWANO, WI – Shawano County has selected its next county treasurer following the retirement of longtime Treasurer Deb Wallace.
County Board Chairman Tom Kautza announced the appointment of Emily Kazik, who currently serves as the county’s payroll technician. Kazik was chosen after an extensive search process that included multiple interviews and applications.
Kautza praised Kazik’s work ethic and experience, expressing confidence in her ability to take on the role. “She’s always been a very, very good employee. When she’s given a job, she dives right into it and gets the job done and does a good job,” Kautza said.
He added that Kazik brings solid financial experience to the position and has demonstrated reliability in her current role within county government.
Kazik is expected to be officially appointed during the Shawano County Board of Supervisors meeting on January 28.
