TIGERTON, WI- The Village of Tigerton has issued a mandatory “run water” order for residents as extremely cold temperatures increase the risk of frozen water lines. The order was put into effect Wednesday and will remain in place until further notice. Village officials are instructing residents to run a small stream of water, about a quarter-inch at the faucet head, which should fill one gallon in approximately seven to eight minutes. Officials recommend running cold water from one sink that is not used frequently, such as a utility sink, to reduce the risk of the faucet being accidentally turned off.
