Shawano Police handled a wide range of calls throughout Monday, January nineteenth, ranging from alarms and welfare checks to traffic issues and theft investigations.
Officers responded to multiple alarm calls across the city, including burglar alarms at Covantage Credit Union on East Green Bay Street and a business on South Union Street. All alarms were checked and cleared without incident.
Police also conducted several welfare checks, including one requested by a local dialysis center after a patient missed an early morning appointment, and another involving a man reported walking without a coat in cold conditions. Officers made contact and confirmed there were no immediate safety concerns.
A two-vehicle crash was reported late morning near West Division and South Smalley Streets. No injuries were reported, and the vehicles were moved out of traffic.
Police are investigating a shoplifting incident at Dunkin’ on East Green Bay Street, where a tip jar was reportedly stolen over the weekend. Surveillance footage is being reviewed.
Additional calls included vehicle lockouts, parking complaints, traffic hazards, and reports of property damage.
Clintonville Police stayed busy throughout Monday, January nineteenth, logging numerous patrols, business checks, and traffic-related calls across the city.
Officers conducted extra patrols overnight and throughout the day along South Main Street, West Green Tree Road, and in residential areas including Anne and South Madison Streets. Several routine business checks were also completed on South Main, Clinton Avenue, Hemlock Street, and County Highway I, with no major issues reported.
Police handled multiple traffic complaints and traffic stops, including incidents at South Main Street and County Highway I, West Madison and West Streets, and Highway Forty-Five near County Highway O.
An alarm was reported late morning on Eleventh Street and was checked and cleared. Officers also responded to a truancy complaint near West Green Tree Road during school hours.
Additional calls included a disabled vehicle near Bennett and West Madison Streets, a lost and found report near Hemlock and West Twelfth, a medical call on Wilson Street, and a request for mutual aid on East Main Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls across the county throughout Monday, January nineteenth, including traffic crashes, welfare checks, disturbances, and multiple assist calls.
Deputies began the early morning hours handling a vehicle lockout on Edgewood Road and a disabled vehicle on Highway Twenty-Nine. A welfare check was later conducted along Highway Forty-Seven and Fifty-Five after concerns were raised about someone possibly staying overnight in warehouse units. The situation was checked and cleared.
Several traffic incidents were reported during the day, including non-reportable crashes at County Highway G and Homestead Road, Beaulieu Lake Lane, and Church Road, along with a property-damage crash near mile marker one-ninety-five on Highway Twenty-Nine. One injury crash was reported near Highway Twenty-Two and Crystal Drive in Cecil, where a driver reported leg pain but declined medical transport.
Deputies also assisted with multiple civil standby calls related to domestic situations, including keeping the peace while belongings were retrieved and during separation disputes.
Law enforcement responded to several 911 calls, many of which were abandoned or determined to be accidental. A suspicious activity report involving heavy equipment near a substation was checked with assistance from Waupaca County authorities.
Later in the evening, deputies investigated a disturbance in Cecil where a man was reportedly intoxicated and making threats. That incident remains active.
Additional calls included traffic hazards, lost property along Highway Twenty-Nine, alarms, and disabled vehicles.
