Shawano Police handled a wide range of calls, including disturbances, welfare checks, and multiple arrests.
Late in the morning, officers responded to a report of resisting and interfering with police near East Lieg Avenue and South Cleveland Street. An individual was taken into custody and the incident remains active.
Police also assisted with a welfare check near South Weed and Oshkosh Streets after a concerned resident reported a missing woman last seen walking near the Mountain Bay Trail bridge. Officers checked the area and spoke with those involved.
During the afternoon, officers responded to reports of illegal burning in the River Pines area. The fire was extinguished and those involved were instructed to stop burning.
Later in the day, police handled a disturbance at Franklin Park, investigated a reported internet sex crime, and assisted in the arrest of a suspect wanted on an active warrant on North Lafayette Street.
Police also responded to several juvenile-related calls and an accidental 911 call involving a child.
Clintonville Police stayed busy officers conducted multiple business checks and extra patrols overnight and into the early morning hours, including stops along Club House Drive, Anne Street, 20th Street, South Madison Street, and West Green Tree Road. Police say the added patrols were part of routine visibility and crime-prevention efforts.
Several traffic stops were also made during the day, including along North Main Street, at West Madison and Bennett Streets, and near East 12th Street and South Main Street. No serious traffic incidents were reported.
Around midday, officers assisted a local business on Anne Street, though details were not released.
The most serious call came late in the afternoon when police responded to a reported weapon offense on Glendale Court. That incident remains under investigation.
Later in the evening, Clintonville Police assisted another agency on South Clinton Avenue.
Police say there were no reports of major injuries, and several cases remain active. Anyone with information related to ongoing investigations is encouraged to contact the Clintonville Police Department.
Shawano County Sheriff’s deputies incidents spanning traffic safety, welfare checks, and multiple crashes across the county.
Early in the morning, deputies responded to a residential alarm near Wittenberg, which was cleared without incident. Shortly after, a hit-and-run crash was reported on Lake Drive, where a truck was found partially blocking traffic and leaning against a telephone pole. That incident remains under investigation.
Several traffic-related calls were handled throughout the day, including a number of reckless driving complaints along Highway 29 and Highway 45. In one evening report, deputies received a call involving a vehicle with an unrestrained infant in the front seat. That incident was documented and remains under review.
Deputies also responded to multiple animal-related calls, including car-versus-deer crashes and reports of injured deer needing to be dispatched in rural areas.
Welfare checks were another focus, including one near South Weed and Oshkosh Streets in Shawano and another in Wittenberg after concerns were raised about individuals who could not be reached.
Additional calls included a civil matter involving a reported financial scam, school bus traffic violations, and a medical transport from the Shawano County Jail to a hospital.
