Shawano Police handled a wide range of calls over the past 24 hours, from disturbances and property crimes to welfare checks and warrant arrests.
Officers responded just after midnight to a trespassing complaint at an apartment on Estates Lane. Multiple units were called in, and the situation was resolved without further incident.
Noise complaints and disorderly conduct calls followed during the early morning hours, including reports of neighbors yelling and playing loud music, and a separate disturbance on West Picnic Street.
Later in the morning, police assisted fire crews at the Dunkin’ Donuts on East Green Bay Street, where several fire units were on scene for nearly an hour.
Throughout the day, officers investigated shoplifting at Qualheim’s True Value, multiple vehicle damage complaints, and an automobile theft report involving a vehicle that was not returned after permission was revoked.
Police also conducted several welfare checks, including concerns involving children and individuals who could not be reached by family members.
The day wrapped up with two people taken into custody on outstanding warrants, one at Kwik Trip on East Green Bay Street early this morning.
Clintonville Police handled a steady flow of calls throughout the day Tuesday.
Overnight activity included multiple business checks along South Main Street and Ninth Street, as officers conducted security patrols through the downtown area. A suspicious activity report was also investigated on North 12th Street, with officers determining there was no immediate threat.
During the morning hours, police conducted extra patrols on Anne Street and 20th Street. Officers also assisted with a lockout on South Main Street and responded to a family-related call later in the morning.
Emergency response included ambulance assists on West Green Tree Road and North Clinton Avenue, with police assisting EMS crews.
Officers made a traffic stop near North 12th and Pearl Streets early in the afternoon and later provided mutual aid to another agency on June Bug Lane.
Additional suspicious activity and follow-up calls were handled on West Street. The day concluded with a domestic disturbance response on Harriet Street and another overnight business check on South Main Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office reports a busy day of calls Tuesday across the county, with numerous traffic-related incidents and public safety responses.
Deputies were called to multiple crashes throughout the day, including property-damage accidents and several crashes involving injuries. Those incidents occurred along Highway 22, Highway 29, Highway 117, and Highway 45, including near Bonduel, Cecil, Clintonville, and Pulaski. Authorities say traffic hazards, disabled vehicles, and winter road conditions contributed to several of the calls.
Law enforcement also handled a high number of reckless driving complaints, particularly along Highway 22 and Highway 45. In several cases, callers reported swerving vehicles, unsafe passing, and aggressive driving behavior. Deputies responded and investigated each report.
Additional calls included traffic hazards involving deer and vehicle debris in roadways, disabled semis causing congestion, and reports of pedestrians walking along highways.
Deputies responded to multiple 911 calls across the county, as well as courthouse security assignments in Shawano. Other calls included welfare checks, general assistance requests, alarm responses, and assistance to other law enforcement agencies.
Late in the evening, deputies handled an animal-related crash and an alarm call at a business, along with medical assist calls involving fall detection systems.
