Shawano Police responded to a series of calls Sunday. The day began just after 2 a.m. when officers and ambulance crews were sent to a medical emergency on Madison Way, where an elderly man was reported bleeding from the mouth.
Around mid-morning, police were called to Lincoln Street after the property owner requested a K-9 search, believing drugs may have been left behind by a former tenant. Officers checked the home and documented the situation.
Just after 10:30, officers assisted another agency following a medical alert pendant activation on East 5th Street. Responders attempted to contact the individual tied to the alert and investigated the surrounding area.
In early afternoon, police and EMS were sent to Willow Wood for another medical call and later assisted a resident on River Street attempting to retrieve a vehicle during a civil standby.
During the evening hours, a strong odor of propane was reported near Richmond Street, prompting responses from both police and the fire department. Crews checked the area until the scene was cleared.
Later, officers took an information report regarding a missing person from an apartment on Richmond Street.
Additional calls included a disturbance near Lake Drive, a report of barking dogs left in a vehicle at Shawano Estates, and another disturbance on Maurer Street.
Just after midnight, officers responded to a general alarm at Tractor Supply on East Green Bay Street. The building was checked and secured.
Clintonville Police handled a steady mix of calls. The day began shortly before 1 a.m. with routine business checks on South Main Street and West Madison Street, ensuring storefronts were secure overnight.
Around 8 a.m., officers conducted extra patrols on Anne Street and 20th Street, followed by a welfare check on 6th Street to ensure the safety of a resident.
Just before 10 a.m., police responded to a vehicle lockout on North Clinton Avenue. A few hours later, officers assisted with a disabled vehicle at West Green Tree Road and North Main Street, helping to clear the roadway.
In the early afternoon, a stray animal was reported on West Street, and officers later provided assistance to a business on West Madison Street.
Evening activity included several traffic stops—at 9th Street and South Clinton Avenue, on South Main Street, at North 12th and West 14th Street, and near South Main and West Campus Drive—addressing various roadway concerns as the night went on.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a busy Sunday responding to 28 calls. The day began around 1:30 a.m. with a welfare check near Highway 22 and Rose Brook Road. A short time later, deputies handled multiple non-reportable traffic accidents—one on Lake Drive, another near mile marker 227 on Highway 29, and a third at County Roads CCC and K. All incidents were cleared without major injuries.
Just before sunrise, deputies responded to a disabled vehicle along Highway 29 at Leopolis Road, followed by a reckless driving complaint near the same area. Throughout the morning hours, officers fielded a drug-related call at a home on South Lincoln Street, as well as a 911 hang-up from River Road.
Around mid-morning, deputies attempted to locate a subject in the Highway 47–55 area and later responded to another reckless driving complaint near Spruce Road. Multiple welfare checks were handled as well, including one triggered by a medical alert activation on County Road A.
Transport and medical clearances were needed at the Shawano County Jail late in the morning, and another traffic-related call was reported near Elm Grove Road.
Around noon, deputies were called to Gresham for another welfare concern, followed by a criminal damage report in Tigerton where a residence had been forcibly entered.
Traffic issues continued into the afternoon, with disabled vehicles, suspicious activity, and a 911 call from a residence in Tigerton. Deputies also assisted a local church with a mechanical issue involving a wheelchair lift.
By evening, deputies responded to several more reckless driving complaints on Highway 29, a general assist on Curt Black Road, and a traffic hazard caused by a deer in the roadway.
Later that night, a deer-related crash was reported on County Road N, followed by a drug complaint at a gas station in Marion. Deputies also handled a property-damage crash, a harassment complaint in Bonduel, and a suspicious vehicle in Birnamwood.
