Shawano Police handled a busy Tuesday with a mix of school-related incidents, welfare checks, and a mid-day pursuit.
Officers were first called to Shawano Middle School just before 10 a.m. for a reported disturbance involving a student. Police say the situation was resolved without further issues.
A short time later, officers and EMS responded to a welfare check on Madison Way after a caller appeared confused and reported being stuck on a pontoon near her home. Crews spent over an hour on scene ensuring the woman was safe and receiving care.
Police were also called to the high school for several issues throughout the late morning and early afternoon, including tobacco violations, car damage, and a truancy concern.
Just before 12:40, officers engaged in a brief pursuit near Danks and Bartlett Street. The driver attempted to flee down an alley but was quickly stopped, and one person was taken into custody.
Around 1:15 p.m., multiple units responded to an East Lieg Avenue apartment after reports of a disturbance involving a vehicle and concerns about a child. Officers worked to calm the situation and investigate the complaint.
The day also included several 911 misdials involving children, a couple of warrant pickups, an abandoned vehicle, an alarm call at a local church, and two fraud complaints—one of which remains under investigation.
Clintonville Police logged a steady series of calls throughout Tuesday, beginning overnight with several business checks along North and South Main Street. Officers made rounds between 2:45 and 3 a.m., reporting no issues.
Around sunrise, police conducted extra patrols on 20th Street and Anne Street, followed by school safety patrols at 20th Street and South Clinton Avenue as students arrived for the day.
Late in the morning, officers responded to a report involving drugs on West Green Tree Road. No further details were immediately released.
The afternoon brought a family-related call on South Main Street, and by evening, traffic enforcement picked up. Police conducted multiple stops across the city, including at West 3rd and Bennett Street, North Main and Park Street, and along County Highway I.
Just before 8:30 p.m., officers handled a welfare check on McKinley Avenue, and later returned to South Clinton Avenue for additional school patrols.
The day wrapped up shortly after 11 p.m. with a noise complaint on Stewart Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a steady mix of calls Tuesday, beginning just after midnight with two cases involving individuals who failed to report to the county work-release facility on Engel Drive.
Deputies responded at 12:21 a.m. to a vehicle crash on Morgan Road in Gresham, followed by another injury crash around 7 a.m. near Highway 47 and Slab City Road. A third crash, this one with property damage only, was reported shortly after 7:15 at Highway 160 and Willow Road.
Just after 7:00, dispatch also received an open 911 call from the Shawano Lake area, with adults and children heard talking in the background. Deputies determined no emergency was found.
Through the morning hours, deputies handled a civil matter in Bowler, assisted another agency on Rustic Drive near Clintonville, and documented a vehicle repossession in Krakow. A traffic hazard on Roosevelt Road was cleared shortly after noon.
At 12:38 p.m., deputies assisted Shawano Police during a brief pursuit near Danks and Bartlett Street, where one person was quickly detained. Minutes later, deputies again assisted with a disturbance call on East Lieg Avenue.
A report of lewd behavior at the county jail came in at 1:18 p.m., and around the same time, deputies were called to Highway 29 for a traffic hazard involving a piece of heavy equipment that had come off a trailer.
By mid-afternoon, deputies handled an intoxicated person complaint in Wittenberg, a disabled vehicle on Curt Black Road, and a disturbance call on Pine Ridge Road. A welfare check on County Road HH was resolved without incident.
Courthouse security responded to an afternoon issue inside the facility, and around 5 p.m. deputies arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant at a residence on Cattau Beach Drive.
A second warrant pickup was completed later in the evening at the Brown County Jail.
The evening also included extra patrol in Pulaski, a complaint about snowmobiles tearing up a yard in Krakow, and two deer-related crashes—one on Highway 47–55 near County Road A, and another on Highway 29 near Rock Road just before midnight.
