CLINTONVILLE, WI – The Shiocton Lady Chiefs got their 1st win of the season over a feisty Clintonville Truckers team 39-29 in the first game of a doubleheader.
The first few minutes were slow as both teams committed turnovers on back to back possessions.
Aliyah Reese for Shiocton had 17 points total, 15 of those points coming from behind the arc in a hot shooting night. Clintonville tried to slow Reese down but there were other options available like Monica Young who finished with 7 points and Bellah Young who finished with 6 of her own in a physical battle with Zoey Ferg for the Truckers in the paint.
Clintonville’s leading scorer was Kara Danforth as she finished with 8 points to lead all scorers for Clintonville.
All-Time Series is now in favor of Shiocton 2-0 after the 10 point win last night.
Shiocton improves to 1-2 on the season, Clintonville drops to 1-2.
