BLACK CREEK, WI – One of the suspects connected to a fatal drug overdose in Black Creek has been convicted. Cole Simon pleaded no contest on Friday to a charge of first-degree reckless homicide and is scheduled to be sentenced on January 22, according to court records.
The case stems from the July 19, 2024 death of a 27-year-old man who was found unresponsive in a home on East State Street. Investigators say Simon provided the drugs that caused the overdose.
Another man involved in the case, Travis Neshek, was previously sentenced to one year in jail and five years of probation for supplying the drugs to Simon.
