Police in Shawano had a busy Monday, responding to a series of incidents across the city. Early in the morning, officers assisted paramedics at an apartment on South Main Street. Later, an anonymous caller reported marijuana use at a Madison Way apartment complex, prompting a drug investigation.
Around 8 a.m., police responded to reckless driving near Green Bay Street and Airport Drive, followed by another medical assist on South Franklin Street. Shortly after, a fire alarm at Dumke Holdings on East Richmond Street brought multiple units, though the situation was quickly contained.
Midday calls included identity theft, a found credit card, and a tobacco violation at Shawano High School. Officers also handled disorderly conduct at Richmond Court, where a man refused to leave a residence, and shoplifting at Walmart.
In the afternoon, police assisted with a lock change on Sawyer Street, investigated another drug offense at the high school, and helped a resident locked out of her apartment. Later, officers responded to a disturbance on Picnic Street that escalated into resisting arrest.
Evening calls included more medical assists, a suspicious activity report involving men with heavy equipment, juveniles throwing objects at vehicles, and a 911 call from Bartlett Street. The day ended with officers helping staff at Oak Haven Nursing Home with a lift assist.
Clintonville Police handled a steady run of calls throughout Monday, Just after midnight, officers responded to South Main Street for an OWI arrest, kicking off the day with one driver taken into custody.
A little after 7:30 a.m., police conducted extra patrol on Anne Street, and later in the morning they handled a 911 call on South Main. Officers also served paperwork on West Morning Glory Drive around 11:15.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m., police investigated an ordinance violation on East 12th Street.
In the mid-afternoon, officers made a traffic stop on North Main Street, followed by another 911 call on South Main.
Just after 4:20, police responded to a motor-vehicle crash on Elm Street. No injuries were listed in the initial report.
Throughout the evening, officers handled a follow-up on Anne Street, provided citizen assistance on South Clinton Avenue, and responded to a harassment complaint on Flora Circle around 6:24 p.m.
The night ended with a noise complaint on Stewart Street shortly after 10 p.m.
Shawano County deputies handled more than 30 calls for service Monday, ranging from reckless driving complaints to fraud investigations and several welfare checks.
The day began shortly before 1 a.m., when deputies responded to Highway 29 for a report of reckless driving. A second reckless driving report came just after 7 a.m. near Highways 45 and 29 in Wittenberg.
deputies assisted Waupaca County around 4 a.m., then handled several traffic-related calls through the morning, including multiple deer-related crashes on Highway 29, a disabled vehicle on Clark Drive, and a traffic hazard near the Witt-Birn Townline Road.
Around 8:50 a.m., deputies were called to the Bonduel Kwik Trip for a shoplifting complaint, where the suspect had already left the scene. Just after 9 a.m., an elderly driver accidentally put her vehicle into a ditch near Highway 117 and 22 in Cecil. No injuries were reported.
Deputies also took a property damage report after someone backed a U-Haul truck into a building days earlier, and later responded to harassment complaints, including threatening messages tied to an ongoing dispute.
Around midday, deputies assisted fire crews on Country Court in Shawano, checked on a vehicle improperly parked in a handicap stall, and took reports involving family disputes and theft concerns.
The afternoon brought additional calls, including a welfare check in Tigerton involving concerns about possible suicidal behavior, followed by a 911 call from Green Bay seeking information about a family member.
During the late afternoon and evening, deputies handled multiple traffic hazards involving manure haulers blocking the roadway, investigated a fraud complaint in Birnamwood, and responded to an animal bite case after a victim was taken to the ER.
Later that night, deputies investigated a suspicious situation in Krakow after a caller received a crumpled note from a worker he feared might be in distress. A vehicle fire was also reported on Highway 29 and 45, and deputies closed out the night with a suspicious vehicle call near a park in Wittenberg.
