ASHWAUBENON, WI – The Resch Center in Ashwaubenon will remain the home of Wisconsin’s high school volleyball and basketball state tournaments for another five years.
PMI Entertainment Group and the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) announced Wednesday that they’ve extended their contract, ensuring the venue will host the state championships in girls volleyball, boys volleyball, and girls basketball through March 2030.
The partnership between the WIAA and PMI began with a 2018 agreement that is set to expire this year. The girls state basketball tournament has been held at the Resch Center since 2013, while girls volleyball has called the venue home since 2002.
Attendance has steadily grown over the years, with the 2024 girls volleyball tournament drawing a record crowd of more than 25,500 spectators. Officials say the girls basketball tournament averages around 36,500 attendees annually and generates about $2.2 million for the Green Bay community, while the volleyball tournament brings in nearly $1 million each year.
