SHAWANO, WI – Work is officially underway at the Shawano High School Athletic Field as the district begins the first phase of its major renovation project. Superintendent Kurt Krizan says demolition on the concession stand is nearly complete, with crews soon shifting focus to the press box area.
Krizan says the first major goal is completing the new drainage system by December, weather permitting, to keep the project on schedule. In the meantime, fencing and construction zones have changed how students and families access certain parts of the campus.
“We’re going to try to be as proactive as possible,” Krizan said. “If there are any changes that need to happen, we’ll communicate them out with our families through our newsletters and other updates.”
Despite some fenced-off areas, Krizan noted that parking remains available, and the district will continue providing regular updates as the project moves forward.
