Some Area Teams taking part in Sectionals tonight:
Hortonville
The Polar Bears still have an undefeated season heading into tonight’s match with D.C. Everest at home. Head Coach Paul Everett talked about the undefeated season, “All season we have been concentrating on the next game, we don’t look too far ahead.” Everett said.
Hortonville and D.C. Everest tied at 1 in the final game of the regular season before playoffs started.

Pulaski
The Red Raiders come into the postseason as the #2 Seed in their region. We talked with Jeff Schneider, the head coach of the Pulaski Soccer team about how his Red Raiders got the 2 seed, “We played a really competitive schedule and I think that kind of established us as one of the top teams in there.” Pulaski has faced #15 Green Bay East, #10 Cedarburg and now tonight #6 Homestead.

Shawano
The Hawks take flight to Lakeland tonight in Minocqua to take on the Thunderbirds, a team they are familiar with as they lost to Lakeland 2-0 last year in the regular season and then knocked Lakeland out of the playoffs. We talked with Head Coach Andrew Brooks about the defense so far not giving up a goal in the postseason defeating both Antigo and New London in shutouts. “All 11 have to play defense the way we play.”

Anderson Schmidt and Kody Popelka have been two of many playmakers for the Shawano Hawks so far this season.
Here is Anderson on beating New London this past Saturday to get to Sectionals. “It feels good, New London is always a physical battle and they always bring it. We battled it all the way out and it is a lot of momentum to look forward to New London.”

All Games Start at 7pm, winners got to Sectional Finals on Saturday for a trip to State.
