SHAWANO, WI – The Shawano School District is inviting residents to take a closer look at how local education dollars are being managed during its upcoming annual finance meeting. The session will give community members a chance to review last year’s results and gain a better understanding of the district’s operating budget, funding sources, and financial outlook.
Director of Business Services Brian Kadlec says the meeting will provide a transparent look at how district funds are allocated and the financial challenges ahead. “We really encourage transparency and we really encourage people to attend,” Kadlec said. “Residents living within the district boundaries also have voting rights as part of the meeting.”
Kadlec says key topics will include the revenue limit formula, state aid distribution, and overall budget priorities as the district plans for the future. The meeting will take place Monday, October 27th at 5:30 p.m. in the Shawano High School Auditorium.
