Shawano Police Officers handled a steady series of calls throughout the day, beginning with a 911 call around 9:40 a.m. near South Main Street. The call came in through RapidSOS data, and police were able to confirm the location and respond within minutes.
A short time later, officers conducted a welfare check on South Main Street after an anonymous caller raised concern for someone’s wellbeing. Everything was found to be in order and the call was closed.
Just before noon, police helped a driver who had locked their keys inside a truck at Auto Select on East Green Bay Street. Later in the afternoon, a small black stray dog was picked up at Judd Park and taken safely to the Humane Society.
At around two o’clock, officers assisted a motorist with a flat tire near an abandoned building on East Green Bay Street. A complaint about noisy ATV or dirt bike riding in an alley on South Lincoln Street followed soon after.
In the evening hours, officers responded to a report of possible drug activity at Walgreens on East Green Bay Street. A customer had turned in a bag believed to contain illegal substances. Police collected the item as evidence and staff planned to review security footage.
Other calls Sunday included several welfare checks, a civil dispute over a vehicle, and an animal complaint involving an injured deer near County Road B.
Clintonville Police Report Officers responded to a pair of ambulance calls — one early in the morning on 9th Street, and another later that evening on Garfield Avenue.
Officers also made a series of overnight business checks along South Main Street, Paulina Street, and 7th Street, with all appearing secure.
Throughout the day, police conducted extra patrols on 20th Street, Memorial Circle, and 7th Street, ensuring neighborhood safety.
In the afternoon, officers looked into a suspicious vehicle on North Main Street and later responded to two separate stray animal reports — one near East Madison and South Main, and another on 19th Street.
Traffic stops were made at 5th and South Main and again at South Main and 7th. Officers also handled a 911 misdial on East 2nd Street and an alarm call on South Main Street.
The day wrapped up with a late-night report of a suspicious person near Bennett Street and West 2nd.
Shawano County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a total of 26 calls for service across the county.
The day began shortly after midnight when a warrant was served at the Brown County Jail. Around five a.m., dispatchers received a 911 call near Hintz and Funk Roads in Krakow, followed by a car-versus-deer crash on Highway 22 and Evergreen Road just after seven. No injuries were reported.
Deputies were called to assist other law enforcement agencies in De Pere and Wittenberg during the morning, and later helped locate lost property near County Highway U and Highway 29. Around 11:20 a.m., a jogger reported being bitten by a dog on Basswood Road in the Town of Shawano, though the bite did not break the skin.
In the afternoon, crews responded to a fire call near Highway 29 in Pulaski and handled multiple 911 calls, including one in Gresham and another in Bonduel. Deputies also checked on an open door in a residential area near Freedom Way and Liberty Drive.
That evening, jail staff reported a disturbance involving an inmate, and deputies investigated two separate reports of reckless driving — one near Pulaski and another in Wittenberg. Later, a medical assist was handled on County Highway BB in Cecil, and a deer-related crash was reported near County Road D and Riverside Road to close out the night.
