SHAWANO, WI – Local youth are sharing what makes 4-H such a meaningful part of their lives, and it goes far beyond projects and fairs. Members say 4-H is about leadership, friendship, and giving back to the community.
In the Caroline Aces 4-H Club, members collect items and pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child, with some years producing as many as 20 gift-filled boxes for families in need. Other groups, like County Line 4-H, have packed backpacks for the Clintonville School District to help students who don’t have all the essentials at home.
As part of National 4-H Week, local clubs are taking part in Service Sunday and other volunteer efforts that highlight the organization’s commitment to community service. From food drives to helping local families, these young members are proving that service, learning, and leadership go hand in hand, building a brighter future for their communities.
