Shawano officers had a busy Sunday, responding to a string of calls across the city and surrounding areas.
Shortly after one-thirty in the morning, deputies were called to a domestic disturbance on Buss Road in Caroline. Multiple units responded, and the situation remained active for several hours before being resolved.
Later in the morning, police handled several noise and animal complaints, including reports of loud disturbances on South Prospect Street and a barking dog on South Sawyer that kept neighbors awake in the early hours.
Around 10:30 A.M. officers investigated property damage on South Andrews Street, where a caller reported her son’s vehicle tires had been slashed.
Police also responded to a welfare check on East Ridlington Avenue after neighbors grew concerned about a resident who hadn’t been seen in several days. Officers made contact and ensured the person’s well-being.
Other calls included a lockout on East Lieg Avenue, an alarm at Power Sports on East Green Bay Street, and several assists to ambulance crews throughout the day.
In the evening, police dealt with a loitering complaint behind a pavilion on East Richmond Street and a late-night noise complaint involving a reportedly intoxicated woman yelling and kicking doors at an apartment complex.
Clintonville officers handled a steady stream of calls throughout the day. Early Sunday morning, police assisted another agency on Buss Road and later responded to an alarm on South Main Street.
An ambulance was sent to North Main Street just after nine a.m., and officers handled a hit-and-run on West Madison Street around 10:30 A.M.
Several traffic stops were made across the city, including along South Main, North 12th, and Shore Drive.
In the afternoon, police checked on a welfare concern on West Madison Street and assisted a citizen on South Main. Later that night, officers investigated a noise complaint on East 12th Street and a suspicious activity report on West Morning Glory Drive.
Extra patrols were also conducted in the Olen Park Road area.
Shawano County Deputies responded to more than thirty incidents across the county Sunday. The day began just after midnight with an arrest for bail jumping near County Highway HH and Lake Drive in Shawano. Around four a.m., a caller on Poplar Road reported someone outside their window, prompting a suspicious activity investigation.
A few hours later, deputies were called to North Star Casino to remove a woman who had reportedly been loitering for several hours. In Tigerton, officials logged a sex offender notification for an individual scheduled for release from prison later this month.
Around seven a.m., a traffic accident was reported on County Highway E near Cecil, and later in the morning, a wallet found near the Bonduel exit on Highway 29 was turned into the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies also handled multiple reckless driving complaints, including one on Highway 29 and another near Roubal Road in Cecil. Two ditch fires along Highway 29 brought responses from area fire departments.
Animal-related calls included a barking dog complaint on Deer Path Lane and a neglect investigation involving several goats and horses without water at a property on Cypress Road.
In the evening, a gun theft was reported during an open house on County Highway E near Krakow, and deputies also checked on a suspicious person along Riverside Road in the Town of Pella.
No major injuries were reported in Sunday’s incidents.
