SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Hawks volleyball team will pay tribute to local heroes during its upcoming home match against Winneconne on Thursday, September 11.
Police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and members of the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department are invited to attend the game free of charge. Before the varsity match begins at 7 p.m., the Hawks will take time to recognize first responders for their service to the community.
School officials say the event is a way to show appreciation for those who dedicate their lives to keeping Shawano and surrounding communities safe.
