TOWN OF DAYTON, WI- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a utility vehicle Saturday evening in the town of Dayton, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 5:20 p.m. on County Highway Q near Mary Street. Deputies say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts from first responders.
An initial investigation found the utility vehicle was traveling west on Highway Q when it hit the pedestrian in the roadway. The driver stopped immediately, was not injured, and is cooperating with authorities.
The names of those involved are being withheld at this time.
