KESHENA, WI- A traffic stop for speeding turned into a significant drug and weapons bust on the Menominee Indian Reservation, according to the Menominee Tribal Police Department.
Around 11:15 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on State Highway 47 near Camp One Road. During the stop, officers observed suspicious behavior from the driver, prompting a probable cause search of the vehicle.
The search uncovered a variety of illegal items, including:

Multiple individually packaged bindles of suspected illicit drugs

A 9mm handgun with ammunition

An AR-style assault rifle with ammunition

Additional contraband
The male driver was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Menominee Tribal Detention Facility.
