SHIOCTON, WI- With springtime flooding now subsiding, Outagamie County officials have lifted the slow-no-wake order for boat traffic that had been in effect since April 1. The order, put in place to protect both boats and shoreline property, had restricted the speed of watercraft on local waterways during the high-water conditions.
In early April, officials in Shiocton were closely monitoring the Wolf River, where flooding is a common concern during the spring thaw. Now, with conditions improving, boaters can return to normal speeds on the water, marking a return to typical spring boating.
