WAUPACA, WI- The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Team has been named one of the top emergency communications teams in the country, earning the prestigious Golden Headset Award from Zetron, a global leader in mission-critical communications technology.
The Golden Headset Award recognizes excellence in public safety communications, honoring dispatchers and emergency telecommunicators who go above and beyond the call of duty. Waupaca County’s team was selected from more than 100 nominations nationwide, sharing the honor with Crawford County 911 in Missouri.
The Waupaca County team was commended for their exceptional performance, dedication, and professionalism under pressure—qualities that are regularly on display.
This recognition shines a spotlight on the behind-the-scenes heroes of emergency response—those who serve as the first line of contact during crises, coordinating life-saving efforts and ensuring public safety around the clock.
