The BABA Baseball season kicked off on Sunday
Clintonville 5, Marion 2
Clintonville’s Jaden Doornink pitched six solid innings, allowing just two runs on six hits while striking out four. At the plate, Jason Schnieder drove in two runs, and Keenan Doornink added a 2-for-4 effort. Marion was led by Bobby Brunkers, who went 2-for-4, and Mitch Elandt added an RBI single.
Little Falls 15, Crandon 1 (F/7)
Carter Kurki was dominant for Little Falls, striking out seven over four innings and surrendering just one run. He also added a 2-RBI hit at the plate. Cam Gruenwald went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Kal Fischer added two more. Crandon’s offense came from Mattey Schallhorn and Wyatt Wheeler, who each went 2-for-3.
Tigerton 5, Caroline 2
Tigerton used strong outings from Dylan Berg and Conner Harris—combining for 6 hits—to power past Caroline. Paul Sellner picked up the win on the mound. Caroline’s Klay Barkow took the loss but had a solid day at the plate, going 2-for-4.
Tilleda 7, Leopolis 0
Zach Fehrman tossed a shutout gem for Tilleda, blanking Leopolis while his team backed him up with timely hitting. Landon Kroening went 3-for-5, while Adin Brei and Jay Brei both notched multi-hit games. Leopolis managed just four hits, with Cody Urban and Nate Laude each going 2-for-4.

NORTHERN DIVISION
Eland 5, Birnamwood 2
Tyler Nelson pitched Eland to victory and also had three hits to lead the offense. Ryan Hubacek added a home run, while Blade Niewandomski and Lucas Mandich each chipped in with doubles. Birnamwood’s Garrett Engle had a double, but the team couldn’t muster enough offense to rally.
Elderon 13, Antigo Polar 9
A 16-hit outburst lifted Elderon past Antigo in a high-scoring battle. Brandon Groshek homered, while Mike Lehman and MacLean Alwes each had two hits. Pitcher Austin Worzalla not only earned the win but also went 2-for-5 at the plate. Antigo had a strong showing from AJ Kirsch and Sam McCann, who each went 2-for-4.
