SHAWANO COUNTY, WI- Governor Tony Evers has signed a $4.1 million contract to enhance U.S. Highway 45 between Wittenberg and Antigo, stretching from State Highway 29 to the Langlade County line. The project is set to commence on June 24.
Northeast Asphalt, Inc. will serve as the prime contractor for this endeavor. The construction will involve removing and repaving the asphalt surface, replacing culverts and guardrails, and adding new pavement markings and centerline rumble strips.
During construction, one lane of traffic will be closed as needed, with standard flagging operations in place. However, access to local residences will be maintained throughout the project.
The construction is expected to be completed by September, contingent upon favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
