Chloe Rose Zernicke, age 13, of Bonduel passed away tragically on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Chloe was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on June 24, 2010, daughter of Derick and Amy (Edler) Zernicke. She was baptized into Christ on July 11, 2010. Her godparents are Tricia Kurey, Craig Nowak, and the late Dustin Zernicke. Chloe confirmed her faith on May 5, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Chloe was an active, sweet, happy girl who loved life. She was in 8th grade at St. Paul Lutheran School in Bonduel where she participated in cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, and softball, she had treasured relationships with all of her coaches. Chloe loved horses and goats and was active in 4-H. She loved her dairy judging coaches and her team won first place in the state last year. She was proud to have recently made the Shawano County Drill Team for the first time. She helped out on the farm at home with her family and loved spending time with her friends. Chloe loved summertime and always looked forward to swimming and being outside in the sun. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed helping with the handbell choir. Chloe was a wonderful daughter and sister, she was one of a kind and will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Left to cherish Chloe’s memory are: her parents, Derick and Amy Zernicke; her siblings, Hailey, Allison, Jack, and Georgia; grandparents, Thomas and Betty Edler and Delmar and Rozanne Zernicke; aunts and uncles, Tricia and Thomas Kurey, David Edler, Michele and Tim Rank, Melissa and Craig Nowak, Doug and Christine Zernicke, Darren and Maureen Zernicke, Dawn and Mark Mroczenski, Connie (Andrew VandeHei) Zernicke, and Dan (Julie Meyer) Zernicke; cousins, Austin, Carter, Madison, Ashlyn, Arianna (Ean), Cassidy, Taylor, Paige, Lexie, Emma, Jordy, Tyler, Brady, Harper, Michael, (Jaymie), Kelsey (Gregg), Hannah, Bethany, Joel (Kim), Luke (Heather), Paul (Courtney), Deanna (Danny), Dallas (Austin), Oliver and (Mallory). She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her uncle and godfather, Dustin Zernicke.
A funeral service for Chloe will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel at 6:00pm on Monday, May 20, 2024. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 3:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Monday from 3:00pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in honor of Chloe.
