SEYMOUR, WI- The Hortonville Girls won all but two events in large school competition and secured a first place finish.
Leading the charge for Hortonville was their formidable Girls 4×800 Meter Relay team, consisting of Maleiyah Streck, Hailey Falbo, Sydney Dent, and Leah Worley. Their impeccable teamwork and relentless pace secured them a commanding victory, setting the stage for Hortonville’s triumphs throughout the meet.
Hannah Huza won two events, taking first place in the 1600 and 3200 Runs.
Eve Vosters continued Hortonville’s winning streak with a stellar performance in the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles. Sydney Jones followed suit, adding to Hortonville’s tally with another first-place finish in the 300 Hurdles.
Emma Garthus further solidified Hortonville’s dominance by storming to victory in the Girls 100 Meter Dash, leaving her competitors in her wake with a display of sheer speed and determination. McKenna Mileski continued the winning streak in the Triple Jump.
The Girls 4×200 Meter Relay saw Hortonville once again emerge victorious, with Abby Hernandez, Emma Garthus, Ruby Heller, and Jayla Rades combining forces to secure yet another first-place finish for their team. Their seamless baton exchanges and blistering pace propelled Hortonville to the top of the podium once more.
Mallorie Werner continued to showcase Hortonville’s prowess on the track, clinching first place in the Girls 400 Meter Dash with a display of speed and endurance.
In small school competition, McKaylee Stephenson of Clintonville took first place in the 100 and 200 for the Truckers. Marah Wondra of Bonduel won the 1600 and 3200. Other winners included Olivia Giese of Bonduel in the 100 Hurdles, Cierra Schnell of Bonduel in the 300 Hurdles and Ashlyn Kurey of Bonduel in the Triple Jump.
On the Boys side, Hortonville and Kiel ended up strong with multiple individual wins. In large school competition, Hortonville won the 4×800 relay, and got individual wins from Derek Adamson in the 300 Hurdles, Cade Mansfield in the 800, Ethan Lund in the Pole Vault and Abram Daniels in the Triple Jump. National ranked Ben Smith also won both the shot put and discus competitions.
Seymour’s Logan Boehnlein won the 1600 and Aidan Court won both the High Jump and Long Jump.
The small school competition was highlighted by multiple event winners. Isaiah Smith of Clintonville won both hurdles and the 200. Teammate Sam Wegener won the High Jump and Long Jump and Ryan Westrich of Bonduel won both throwing events.
