SEYMOUR, WI- Shawano endured a tough night against Seymour on Thursday, falling 11-1 in six innings. Defensive errors plagued the Hawks, contributing to Seymour’s big innings in the third and fourth, where they scored five runs each. Shawano’s lone run came in the second inning when Anderson Schmidt’s hit brought Pete Bruette home. Bruette had a solid performance with two hits, including a double. On the mound, Tom Keszo struggled, pitching 3 1/3 innings and conceding 10 runs on seven hits, along with a walk and two hit batters. Alex Zierden pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks. Despite the loss, Shawano aims to bounce back in upcoming games.
