DETROIT, MI- After experiencing the departure of three offensive linemen this offseason, the Packers urgently addressed their offensive line needs in the NFL Draft.
With the 25th pick in the first round, they swiftly bolstered their depth by selecting OT Jordan Morgan from Arizona, marking the franchise’s first first-round offensive lineman since Derrick Sherrod in 2011.
Morgan, standing at 6-5 and weighing 311 pounds, showcased his prowess by starting 12 games at left tackle in 2023 and earning first-team Pac-12 honors. Throughout his collegiate career, he started 35 games in the same position for Arizona.
Despite concerns stemming from a torn ACL in 2022, Morgan’s strong recovery and performance in 2023 allayed doubts about his ability to return to form.
