Shawano clinched a commanding non-conference victory against Oconto Falls with a final score of 13-5. The Hawks delivered an impressive offensive performance, racking up 12 hits throughout the game.
Leading the charge was Jerzy Brocker, who went 2-4 at the plate, scoring two runs and notching two RBIs, including a crucial double. Carsen Herm also contributed significantly, going 2-4 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Pete Bruette and Parker Beyer each recorded two hits, with Bruette adding a double and two runs scored, while Beyer chipped in with two RBIs.
On the pitching front, Dylan Hodkiewicz earned the win on the mound after relieving Ayden Bystol. Hodkiewicz delivered an impressive performance, pitching 4 2/3 innings, conceding only four hits, one run, two walks, and tallying two strikeouts.
The game took a dramatic turn in the bottom of the 5th inning when Shawano, trailing 4-2, exploded for six runs to seize the lead at 8-4. Although Oconto Falls managed to narrow the gap with a run in the top of the 6th inning, Shawano swiftly responded by adding another five runs in the bottom of the 6th, effectively putting the Panthers out of contention.
