GILLETT, WI- Shiocton earned convincing wins over Gillett/Suring and Florence on Saturday.
Shiocton 14, Gillett/Suring 0
In a commanding performance on the softball diamond, the Shiocton High School team delivered an emphatic 14-0 victory over Gillett/Suring. Right from the start, Shiocton asserted their dominance, scoring two runs in the first inning to set the tone for the game. However, it was in the second inning where they truly showcased their offensive firepower, exploding for nine runs to build an insurmountable lead. Leading the offensive charge for Shiocton was Abbie Presteen, who recorded two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs. Sydney Ritchie also made a significant impact at the plate, driving in an impressive four runs for her team. Pitcher Hailie Poppy delivered a standout performance on the mound for Shiocton, pitching five solid innings and allowing no runs while striking out three batters.
Shiocton 15, Florence 4
In a display of offensive firepower and solid pitching, the Shiocton High School softball team secured a resounding 15-4 victory over Florence. Shiocton wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, notching a run in the first inning before exploding for three runs in the fifth and eight more in the sixth to seal the win. Leading the offensive charge for Shiocton was Elizabeth Pelky, who went 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBIs. Ella Griesbach also made her presence felt with a home run and two RBIs, while Kyler Rettler contributed with two hits and three RBIs. On the mound, Abbie Presteen delivered a stellar performance, pitching six solid innings and allowing just four runs while striking out seven batters to earn the win. Hailie Poppy closed out the game with a scoreless inning of relief.

New London 5, Shawano 0
New London opened the scoring in the third inning on a Shelby Glodowski sacrifice bunt and never looked back. Kenna Mix earned the win for New London as she allowed three hits and had 12 strikeouts. Kadence Meyers took the loss. Braylyn Babino, Abby Bystol and Abby Wachtel each had a hit. Eve Hedtke led New London with two runs batted in. Jensen Mix had two hits.
Shawano 6, Medford 0
Shawano took an early 2-0 lead and used the pitching of Abby Bystol to earn the victory. Braylyn Babino singled in a run to get things started. Bystol stole three bases to keep the momentum on the Hawks side. Babino, Marissa Tomashek and Abby Wachtel all drove in a run. Bystol gave up three hits and had three strikeouts for the win.

CRIVITZ TRIANGULAR
Bonduel 14, Little Chute 2
Bonduel High School’s softball team dominated their triangular match in Crivitz, securing a decisive 14-2 victory over Little Chute. Led by Juliana Jacobs’ powerful hitting, including a home run and four RBIs, Bonduel’s offense set the pace from the start. Allison Zernicke and Hailey Zernicke also contributed multiple hits and RBIs. Hailey Zernicke’s solid pitching limited Little Chute to just two runs.
Bonduel 9, Crivitz 2
Bonduel High School’s softball team secured a decisive 9-2 victory over Crivitz in the Crivitz Triangular. Led by Maddy Sokolski’s home run and four RBIs, Bonduel’s offense propelled them to victory. Pitcher Tatum Sporisky’s solid performance limited Crivitz to just two runs. With strong defense and powerful hitting, Bonduel showcased their prowess on the diamond and asserted themselves as a formidable opponent in high school softball.
