SHAWANO, WI- For 50 years, Arlyn Tober held a seat on the Shawano County Board, but now that seat will be held by his daughter.
Lynn Tober Steinke won the District 19 election over Tyler Steenbock 221 to 174.
“I follow in his footsteps and I am just very humbled that I am able to fill his seat.”
Tober Stienke is currently a member of the Marion School Board and was also re-elected to that seat on Tuesday in an uncontested election.
“I listen, I learn and I lead.”
She said her dad supported her during her campaign, but he let her run it her way. She said she informed the voters of the new district lines by providing maps while going door-to-door. However, she did say that she will do a lot of the same things that her father did for 50 years.
“My dad was very transparent and talked to the town boards and attended their meetings, and I am going to do the same thing, that way everyone is on the same page,” she said. “I had a fantastic role model to learn from.”
