Regional titles were won on Saturday as teams punched their tickets to Sectionals.
DIVISION 1
De Pere Defeats Fond du Lac in Regional Final
DE PERE – The defending Division 1 state champions, De Pere, rolled to a convincing 70-54 victory over the Fond du Lac Cardinals in the regional final. Zach Kinziger led the way for De Pere, making four 3-pointers and scoring an impressive 26 points, while Will Hornseth added 21 points. On the opposing side, Fond du Lac saw strong performances from Ryker Johnson and Rocky Barfknecht, who each contributed 20 points.
Kaukauna Secures Regional Final Victory Over Appleton East
KAUKAUNA – Kaukauna dominated the regional final against Appleton East, limiting the Patriots to eight points in the first half and securing a 65-53 victory. Nathan Deprez led the Ghosts with 16 points, with strong support from Keegan Van Kauwenberg (15 points) and Andrew Jensen (10 points). Joey La Chapell paced Appleton East with 19 points, and Grayson Kasmarek added 12 points.
Neenah Triumphs Over Hortonville in Regional Final
NEENAH – In a hard-fought regional final, Neenah emerged victorious over Hortonville with a final score of 64-58. Brady Corso was the standout performer for Neenah, scoring an impressive 30 points. Charlie Wunderlich added 17 points, and Luke Jung contributed 15 points to secure the win. Hortonville had balanced scoring, with Owen Sipes leading the way with 12 points.
Marshfield Advances After Beating Kimberly in Regional Final
MARSHFIELD – Marshfield secured a 67-55 victory over Kimberly in the regional final, led by Landon Lee’s 19 points. Carson Pendleton contributed 17 points for the Papermakers, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Marshfield’s balanced scoring. Chris Pohl added 14 points, and Brooks Hinson scored 12 for the victorious team.
