SHAWANO, WI- The case involving a Wittenberg woman accused of pointing a firearm at children in May remains unresolved after a hearing on Nov. 21 at the Shawano County Courthouse. Defense attorney Joseph Kaupie cited the need for more time due to District Attorney Greg Parker’s health-related leave, with Assistant District Attorney Laura Nelson catching up on the case. Mindy S. Leeder, 35, faces charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct. If convicted, she could incur fines and prison time. The incident unfolded at Pond Park, with Leeder allegedly confronting children who she believed were bullying her own. Witnesses claim she pointed a loaded firearm, prompting law enforcement involvement. Leeder, free on bond, will have a final pre-trial hearing on Feb. 21.
