WITTENBERG, WI- On October 17, Devin Krueger formally stepped down from his position on the Wittenberg Village Board, citing his impending move out of the village as the reason for his resignation. Krueger, who graduated from Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School in 2012, was in the midst of his first term as a board member.
While he will no longer serve on the village board, Krueger expressed his continued commitment to the community by retaining his position on the Wittenberg Area Chamber of Commerce Board.
The Wittenberg Village Board acted swiftly to fill the vacancy left by Krueger. During the same meeting, Tanya Lange was unanimously appointed to take his place. Lange, the proprietor of T&C Lanes, the village’s bowling alley, will serve in Krueger’s stead until April 2024, at which point the post will be open for election. She may then choose to run for a full two-year term. This change in board membership marks a significant transition for the Wittenberg Village Board, ensuring continuity in its governance.
