Shawano Girls Finish Top 5, Vater Wins Individual Title.
Division 1 Boys
The Stevens Point cross-country team secured victory at the Wausau Smiley Invitational in the Division 1 Boys category. The team amassed 35 points.
Grady Lenn from De Pere claimed the individual title with a remarkable time of 15:25.7. Among the top area finishers were Will Chelberg from Shawano, who secured the 9th position with a time of 16:32.2, followed closely by Ethan Onesti, also from Shawano, at 13th place with a time of 16:42.2. The race witnessed a strong performance by Andrew Milhans from Kaukauna, finishing 15th with a time of 16:51.3, while Casey Trousil of De Pere closely followed in the 16th position with a time of 16:51.8.
Division 2-3 Boys
In the Division 2-3 Boys category, West Salem emerged as the victor with 49 points. Kiel secured the 2nd position with 60 points. Charlie Vater from Iola-Scandinavia claimed the individual title with an impressive time of 15:26.1. Max Voss of Amherst was second.
Division 1 Girls
The Division 1 Girls category saw Madison West taking the lead with 52 points, highlighting their dominance in the competition. Kaukauna secured the 2nd position with 79 points.
Meredith Richter from Medford claimed the individual title with an outstanding time of 18:59.5. Sydney Fauske from Kaukauna secured the 3rd position with a time of 19:17.8, followed by Reese Fauske, also from Kaukauna, in the 6th position with a time of 19:39.1. Jessica Rolain from De Pere secured the 11th position with a time of 19:55.2, with Bailey Hendricks from Shawano following closely in the 14th position with a time of 20:02.7.
Division 2-3 Girls
In the Division 2-3 Girls category, Little Chute secured victory with 92 points. West Salem closely followed with 93 points.
Sophia Bablitch from Rosholt claimed the individual title with an impressive time of 19:07.4. Ashley Wilson from Little Chute secured the 4th position with a time of 19:33.2, demonstrating her outstanding performance. Lia Peterson of Amherst was third and Nora Bushman of Wittenberg-Birnawmood was 8th. Amherst finished 4th as a team and Waupaca finished 9th.
New London Bulldog Invite – Impressive Performances
Boys
At the New London Bulldog Invite, D.C. Everest took the lead with 57 points. Tyce Scheetz from Appleton West secured the individual title with a remarkable time of 17:16.1. Ben O’Brien from Bonduel finished in the 3rd position. Alex Rathman of Hortonville was 6th.
Girls
In the Girls category of the New London Bulldog Invite, New London secured victory with 67 points. Mariah Wondra from Bonduel claimed the individual title with an impressive time of 20:32.8. The competition featured outstanding performances by Ava Lorenz from Shiocton in the 2nd position, and Hannah Huza from Hortonville in the 3rd position. Melanie Jentsch of Weyauwega-Fremont was 6th and Shaye Allen led New London with a 7th place finish.
