CLINTONVILLE, WI- The Clintonville Police Department responded to Memorial Circle Monday afternoon for a female who was stabbed. When officers arrived, they located a female who was on the ground and quickly identified a suspect who was at the scene.
Clintonville police chief, Craig Freitag says the suspect and victim knew each other. He says the victim was driving a vehicle while the suspect was the passenger. They learned that the victim was stabbed once in the chest while in the vehicle. He says she exited the vehicle and called 911.
A 19-year-old male from Neenah identified as Jordan Peters, was transported to the Waupaca County Jail. He was booked in for first-degree intentional homicide.
Freitag says Peters admitted to the stabbing and remained on scene when they arrived.
The victim, a 39-year-old female from Neenah, Wisconsin was transported by Theda Star to Theda Care- Neenah where she was later pronounced deceased. Officers and Clintonville Area Ambulance Service staff attempted life- saving measures on the victim.
The Clintonville Police Department was assisted by the Clintonville Area Ambulance Service, Clintonville Fire Department, Marion Police Department, and Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
