SHAWANO, WI- Sacred Heart Catholic School had their Back to School Night’ on August 23 with nearly 90% attendance from their students. Families came to drop off school supplies, meet the teachers, sign up for their volunteer hours, enjoy the back to school photo booth, meeting the school’s new PIE (Partners in Education) Team, entering prize raffles, and attending an All School Assembly.
There was much buzz about meeting the new Pastor, Father Edward Looney, along with the school’s new teachers that includes a 4th grade teacher all the way from the Philippines. Jinky Tadeo, is a part of the Teaching American Program.
During the All School Assembly Father Edward prayed for a great new school year, Principal, Gary Cumberland, shared updates on the dress code, creating a positive partnership with parents/guardians, discipline policy updates, and his excitement the new year as the school focuses on being Cardinals for Christ!
