WIS 54 and WIS 76 Improvements
Location/limits: WIS 54 from Park Avenue in the village of Shiocton to French Road in the city of Seymour, and WIS 76 from County S in the town of Stephensville to WIS 54 in the village of Shiocton
Schedule: May 15, 2023 thru October 2023
Cost: $10.2 million
Description of work: This project includes culvert repairs and replacements, storm sewer, milling of existing asphalt, placement of new asphalt surface, and curb ramp & curb and gutter replacements in the village of Shiocton and Black Creek. Other work includes guardrail, pavement marking, rumble strips, traffic signal modifications, and other incidentals.
July 17 to July 21: Crews will place the new base aggregate shoulder between Black Creek and Shiocton. Bridge replacement work east of Black Creek will continue. Storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter, and curb ramp replacements on WIS 76 will continue.
Traffic impacts:
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane west of Black Creek on WIS 54 as the project is utilizing flagging operations for pavement operations
- WIS 54 east of Black Creek full closure continues to mid-August.
- Detour: WIS 47 to County B to County PP
- WIS 76 from WIS 54 to S JCT County S full closure from June 29 to end of August 2023.
- Detour: County S to County M to WIS 54
