Update: A 16-year-old Marion man was taken into custody in Polk County, Iowa on Thursday afternoon. Charges of armed robbery and theft will be forwarded to the Waupaca County Juvenile Intake and the Waupaca County District Attorney’s Office.
At this time the juvenile suspect is in custody in Polk County Iowa. It is anticipated he will be transported back to Wisconsin in the near future. Due to the age of the suspect, the name will not be provided.
CLINTONVILLE, WI- The Clintonville Police Department responded to an armed robbery at Kwik Trip in Clintonville on Wednesday.
Officers learned that a suspect entered the store, retrieved an item from within the store and proceeded to the cash register. According to officers, when the suspect approached the counter, he demanded money and pulled up his T-shirt and displayed a handgun in his waistband. After retrieving cash and items from the cashier, the suspect fled on foot to the west from the business with an undisclosed amount of money and other items.
Law enforcement responded and checked the area, but the suspect was not located. Officers are asking area businesses and residences to check surveillance video that may be accessible.
Clintonville Police Department was assisted by the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Marion Police Department.
