MARATHON CO, WI- Wausau Police arrested a 34-year-old Neenah woman after she was driving the wrong way on Highway 29 Saturday night.
Dispatch received a call of a wrong-way driver heading towards Wausau.
It was reported that an officer met the car and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the the woman kept driving and almost hit the squad.
The vehicle was eventually pulled over and the woman was reported to have a BAC of .29 or almost four times over the legal limit. Police also learned that the woman was watching a child at a home in the area and was supposed to be at the house with the child, who was eventually found home alone and safe.
The woman was taken into custody for a 3rd offense OWI as well as child neglect.
