SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano School District has extended the filing deadline for the spring election for the position Member At-Large as an incumbent, Samuel Sousek II, has chosen not to run for reelection and did not file a timely notice of non-candidacy.
Electors, who are residents of the Shawano School District and desire to be a candidate for the school board position, have until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, to file a declaration of candidacy in the District Office at Shawano Community High School.
So far, only current board members have taken out papers for the seven open seats. Mike Musolff, Karen Smith, John Arens, Bobbi Lemerond and Al Pyatskowit have all taken out papers.
