GRESHAM, WI- “We are rockin’ it old school style today.” Those were the words that Gresham School Superintendent Newell Haffner told parents and students after they were forced to shut down internet, computers and the network in the district, due to unusual activity.
The Gresham School Administration reported that they shut down their network on Thursday out of caution. The have been working with incident response partners to investigate the incident.
School will be taking place on Friday, but Haffner says it will be without internet and computers. “It’s going to be like when I graduated in 1985,” Haffner said. “We did not have internet, we did not have computers, oh darn, we are going to have to go old school.”
The district is also moving parent teacher conferences from the 8th to 15th. The district will be sending out a new signup for the conferences.
“I will provide updates as soon as I can,”Haffner said. “It is an ongoing investigation.
