GREEN BAY, WI-A 15-year-old girl has been charged in connection with a traffic crash, which resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy.
Police say the 15-year-old was driving more than 120 miles per hour before crashing head on with a vehicle.
Sienna Pecore is being charged as an adult with first-degree reckless homicide, hit and run involving death and driving a vehicle without owners consent.
The crash occurred Sunday at the Oneida and Mason Street intersection.
A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was killed.
The defense can still ask for the case to be moved to juvenile court.
According to the complaint, Pecore allegedly took her mother’s car without permission, and drove nearly 100 miles per hour over the speed limit. Peacore did not give police a reason for driving so fast, but indicated that she was trying to make it through a yellow light.
Security cameras were used to estimate the speed of the vehicle and it was initially determined that the vehicle was traveling 123 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
