BROTHER’S PUB TAKES THE TITLE
SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Area Rec Softball season came to a close on Thursday with a new champion. Brother’s Pub hit a walk-off base-hit to top Countertop Designs 22-21 in the championship game.
In the Semifinals, Jared Cartwright hit a walk-off solo home to lead Countertop Designs over defending Champion Floors Unlimited 17-16. The loss for Floors ended an 8 year streak of consecutive playoff tournament championships. Until this year, Floors won the regular season every year since 2016 and even won their 100th straight game this season. For the first time in a longtime, Floors did not go undefeated, lost three games in one season and could not defend their title.
Brother’s Pub beat Shooters Pub in the other Semifinal.
In the quarterfinals, Floors Unlimited topped Nemetz Construction and Countertop Designs topped Smokin’ Bunts.
