GREEN BAY, WI- A man who was shot by Oneida police last year has been sentenced to 12 years in prison. Thirty-one-year-old Carl King was found guilty of attempted first-degree intentional homicide in March. Prosecutors told the court he drove into the parking lot at the Oneida Police Department in February of last year and fired two or three shots. An officer, Dakota Oskey, returned fire, hitting King in the leg. The officer wasn’t injured. Police say he asked arresting officers why they didn’t shoot him in the head, saying he wanted to die.
