MADISON, WI- The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding sports enthusiasts that new regulations are in force as the first day of the fishing season approaches Saturday. There are new restrictions on the size and limit of walleye in several counties. A decrease in the walleye population is leading the D-N-R to make the daily bag limit three walleye between 15 and 20 inches long, or two walleye 15 to 20 inches and one over 24 inches. The tighter regulations affect anglers in Rusk, Price, Vilas, and Sawyer counties.
Fishing Starts Saturday
