Boynton Beach, FL-Shawano Ambulance Service will be featured on TV. How2Media, the producers of the television show “World’s Greatest!”, announced Friday that they have recently selected Shawano Ambulance Service to be a part of the popular television series. In many of America’s less populated regions, ambulance services often lack the technology, equipment, and training that their more urban counterparts enjoy. In 1967, Shawano Ambulance Service set out to change that in their corner of Wisconsin and the result was such a success that they became a model the rest of the state often followed.
These days, they continue to innovate and improve as they demonstrate that excellence in medical care knows no geographical or population boundaries. “We think their story will be meaningful `as well as educational to our viewers” said Kyle Freeman, Executive Producer of the show.
As part of the show, How2Media sent a film crew to spend time at the company’s facilities in Shawano, Wisconsin to find out what the story behind the story is with this great and growing company, and to show the “World’s Greatest!…” viewers why Shawano Ambulance Service was selected as the best in their category, and therefore featured on the show.
“We are extremely honored and humbled to have our organization featured on national television,” said Shawano Ambulance Director Pat Trinko. ” Early last year, we submitted a competitive proposal to be considered as one of the “World’s Greatest…” emergency medical services. In late Summer, after several rounds of interviews regarding our operations, we were notified that Shawano Ambulance had been selected for the TV show’s segment. ”
“World’s Greatest!…” is a thirty-minute show dedicated to highlighting the world’s greatest companies, products, places, and people. Each show is a fast-paced tour around the world featuring behind the scenes footage, informative interviews, and exciting visuals.
“We wanted to be careful that we didn’t offend our fellow brothers and sisters who work just as hard as we do to save lives. So rather than try to prove our organization was somehow better than other rescue providers, we took the route that our status as an independent, non-governmental agency with a tight knit work atmosphere reminiscent of a family allows us to be very nimble, responsive and able to stay at the forefront of industry standards. We detailed the many initiatives that were tested in Shawano before being offered Statewide to other rescue services. The producers of the show apparently liked our proposal and selected us for the segment featuring emergency medical services.”
The show featuring the Shawano Ambulance segment will air at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 16th on
BLOOMBERG TV:
DirecTV: Channel 353.
DISH Network: Channel 203.
The show will run a second time at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 23 as well.
